Special thanks to the Oxfam bookshop in Dumfries, Scotland, for permitting me to photograph some of the books you see here without buying them. This one describes itself on the title page as "A realistic novel".
You better watch out
You better not cry
Better not pout
I'm telling you why
Santa Claus is armed and dangerous.
This is from 1947:
The book mentions a reported case of a homosexual man becoming heterosexual following transplantation of a testicle from a "normal" man, though the author does say "We need a much larger number of observations than are at present available before coming to conclusions as to the possibility and desirability of such a proceeding."
No one ever thinks about the donor in this. "Hello sir, in the event you pass away, would like you to donate your testicles to a homosexual? It's purely for experimentation - sir? Sir! Put down the chair!"
